Zombie Army Trilogy Review

The Zombie Army Trilogy has been out for a few months, and a free update including the Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 gang makes it a perfect fit as well as anachronistic among the craziness that the series already delivers. For the uninitiated, this was previously known as Nazi Zombie Army, which is a spin-off of the Sniper Elite series. After dropping the Nazi from the name, we have a compilation of three games, one of which is only available in this collection, and the other two were exclusive to PC. This collection makes for a well-rounded series of games that only get better as you progress, but are unfortunately a slog to get to the good stuff.
Party Hard Review

In a surprising lack of partnership with Andrew W.K., comes Party Hard from Pinokl Games and tinyBuild. The main character essentially lives this line from W.K’s titular song, “Do what we like and we like what we do.” This is a methodically paced game about a serial killer needing to dispose of everyone before moving on to the next area to continue his rampage. Party Hard is a clever game where you must blend in and kill the party.
Crookz – The Big Heist Review

The 1970s were a crazy time: there was disco, Studio 54, The BeeGee’s, and the birth of heist movies. In Skilltree Studio’s first game, Crookz – The Big Heist, published by Kalypso, is about a ragtag group of felons looking to make a name for themselves using equipment and gadgets at their disposal in this strategy game. The result is a somewhat non-linear path of ever-increasingly difficult heists that are challenging to play, and is an interesting take on heists.

KontrolFreek has really dominated the market with thumbsticks for your controllers. They might seem frivolous, but once you use them, their necessity becomes obvious. Let’s face it, the storage in these consoles have already hit a wall. There’s just so many games that have to either be downloaded or installed that the internal 500GBs just isn’t enough anymore. Unlike it’s Sony competitor, the Xbox One’s internal HDD can not be so easily changed. In fact doing so will void your warranty; so what’s a gamer to do then? The answer is very simple, external storage.
Batman: Arkham Knight 1989 Movie Batmobile Pack Review

The post-release DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight has been a bit lacking in quality. There’s plenty of fan service coming from Rocksteady as it is their supposed last outing with Batman. And as such, they are going all-out with skins, story missions, and additional side missions. Some of them are pretty good, while others including this one are so close to being great, they just miss the mark. The 1989 Movie Batmobile Pack falls into the latter. While not as much content as Batgirl: A Matter of Family, it is the month of August’s major DLC release, with other DLC being a skin pack. The former, is a nostalgic trip back to 1989 that misses every opportunity to be something special, but still manages to excite with what little it does offer.
Cities: Skylines Review

Your first city in Cities: Skylines will be an unmitigated disaster. It’s a familiar game if you’ve played a SimCity or something analogous before, but there’s just enough differences that you have to learn all of its systems in a new way. Colossal Order does a decent job at giving you tooltips, chirps (the game’s equivalent of tweets), and advisor notes on what to do, but you really won’t have a handle on it until your second or third city. This is really okay, because the time spent in Cities: Skylines is a joyous one, and one of the best city builders ever.

Turtle Beach is one of the most recognizable headset brands, known for their quality construction, and surround sound innovations. The EAR FORCE Z SEVEN, sits atop the rest of the SEVEN family: XP, XO, and M series, each of them catering to a specific style. The Z SEVEN, is no doubt the top-of-the-line model for PC, and is the most fully featured and versatile headsets that I’ve used.
Rocket League Review

Rocket League is a successor to Psyonix’s own Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, which released onto PlayStation 3 back in 2008, which was met with a tepid response and didn’t receive much fanfare. Now known as Rocket League, it is quite possibly the most accessible sports game, and won’t be soon forgotten. Rocket League is a superior blend of cars and soccer, and attracts anyone to play it for a few minutes which then turns to hours.

You might look at the Razer Tartarus Chroma, and ask the question “Why would I use this”? I’m so glad you asked. At first, I wondered the same thing, but it turns the biggest benefit in using the Razer Tartarus Chroma isn’t apparent at first glance, or even the first few hours. It wasn’t anything game related, but the Razer Tartarus Chroma will save your wrist.
F1 2015 Review

F1 2015 is two sides of the same coin. It is equal parts the best Formula One game to date by longtime developer, Codemasters. It is then also the weakest F1 game in terms of features and modes. If you haven’t seen previous F1 games and are on a new console, you’re likely not to notice the gaps. This is otherwise the best use of the F1 license, likenesses, locations, and experience of F1 racing you’ll find.

Corsair as a brand has been expanding, most notably in the PC Gaming scene as one of the premiere hardware manufacturers. Thusly, they’ve created Corsair Gaming which includes, but not limited to their gaming mice and keyboards that have become an incredibly popular brand. The Corsair STRAFE leaves a good first impression. The presence and importance of mechanical keyboards has increased over the years, and now is the time where obtaining a mechanical keyboard has become affordable and reliable, at least with the Corsair STRAFE.
Farming Simulator 2015 (PS4) Review

The “simulator” genre has gotten quite crowded over the years with some… Now wait just a gosh darn second, this is sounding quite familiar. Let me do a quick search of the site and, ah yes I did review Farming Simulator 2015 back on the PC. Well if you’ve played, or read my review, you know that the PC version is a joy to play if you’re into that micro/macro-managing of a farm. The PlayStation 4 works plays just as well and is just as enjoyable.
